The new Schmidt Stratos F series
The new generation of the Stratos F series impresses with a completely redesigned construction featuring an integrated internal tank. It combines the advantages of classic dry material spreaders with the flexibility of modern wet salt and brine technology – without additional superstructures or conversions.
The internal tank is seamlessly integrated into the spreader and allows the brine to be stored and dosed directly in the machine.
Combination device for maximum efficiency
In combination with the Unimog, the new Stratos F series becomes a true combination spreader. Whether dry salt, wet salt in various brine concentrations or pure spraying – everything is possible with just one device. Changing the spreading methods is quick and easy, directly via the modern ES control panel in the driver's cab.
This allows the driver to react immediately to changing road and weather conditions – without any conversion or downtime. The result: maximum flexibility with minimum effort.
Perfectly matched to the Unimog
Specially developed for mounting on the Unimog, the new Stratos F series makes optimum use of the strengths of this universal implement carrier and offers particular advantages: thanks to the Unimog's off-road capability and manoeuvrability, even narrow roads, ramps or uneven paths can be navigated with ease. The compact design is particularly suitable for inner-city use and requires only a small amount of space. At the same time, the low centre of gravity ensures safe driving and excellent driving stability, even when fully loaded. The combination of the Unimog and the Schmidt F-Stratos series can quickly switch between different gritting routes, even on side roads or in parks, minimising idle times and allowing a much faster response to weather changes – an advantage over truck-mounted combination spreaders, which are usually optimised for longer main routes.
Sustainable, efficient and digitally connected
Like all spreaders in the Stratos series, the new F series is fully compatible with the IntelliOPS digital platform. This enables real-time monitoring, documentation and optimisation of your de-icing operations. Precise control of salt spreading quantities and the use of brine as required means that de-icing materials can be saved and emissions reduced – in line with the principles of sustainable winter road maintenance.
The new Schmidt Stratos F spreader series with internal tank is an innovation in winter service. The first combination spreader available for the Unimog unites efficiency, flexibility and sustainability in a compact system – setting new standards in the combination of technology, economy and practicality.
