Clean streets in the growing city of Temuco
The first Schmidt Flexigo 150 machines in South America were recently handed over to the city of Temuco together with our partner Telemet. During a public event in the city park, the mayor presented the new vehicles as part of the “Revive Temuco” initiative, which aims to create a cleaner and more livable city. The community showed great interest: children and families explored the machines up close, while the mayor and the Aebi Schmidt team introduced the Flexigo 150 to visitors.
Local operators received extensive training to ensure efficient use of the sweeper in urban parks and on busy streets. Compact, quiet and highly manoeuvrable, the Flexigo 150 sets new standards for municipal cleaning in the region.
Tackling challenges in the Andes
Just a few hundred kilometres further north, conditions could not be more different. In the Codelco División El Teniente copper mine, robust Schmidt spreaders and ploughs ensure that access roads remain safe even in extreme winter weather. On the Paso Internacional Los Libertadores, Schmidt Supra 5002 machines, together with Stratos S60 and Tarron MS 36.1 equipment, keep roads at more than 3,000 meters above sea level open all year. With steep slopes and heavy snowfall, this Andean pass relies on reliable technology to maintain traffic on one of the country’s most important routes.
