Engineering a Legacy: Marty Warchola’s Ongoing Journey with Meyer Products

At Meyer Products, innovation isn’t just a goal — it’s part of our DNA. And few bring that to life more than Marty Warchola, our Manager of Engineering. With a career that spans decades, industries, and breakthrough ideas, Marty has helped shape a customer experience that’s smarter, smoother, and more reliable. See how one engineer’s passion has shaped Meyer through the years—and continues to drive the future of snow and ice control.

Marty first joined Meyer 18 years ago, bringing with him a career that included everything from nuclear power plant design to classified military night vision systems. «I came to Meyer looking for a new set of challenges,» he explains — and he found them. Over the years, Marty helped lead transformative engineering efforts that raised the bar for plow performance and reliability.

A Breakthrough Moment in Innovation

One of Marty’s proudest accomplishments came in 2018, when the engineering team was tasked with designing a completely new expanding blade plow. The clock was ticking. In less than a year, under his leadership, the team created and launched a fully redesigned plow — complete with an all-new hydraulic system — that passed validation and entered production ahead of schedule.

This wasn’t just a win for engineering—it was a major benefit to Meyer customers.

«Projects like these directly improve the customer experience,» Marty says. «When we’re able to innovate and deliver reliable, better-performing equipment quickly, our customers feel that impact in the field.»

Focused on the Future

After semi-retiring in 2019 from his role as VP of Engineering, Marty returned in 2023 to take on a focused leadership role for Meyer’s engineering team. His return speaks volumes about his passion for solving complex problems and his commitment to supporting both our team and our customers.

Today, as Manager of Engineering, Marty is right where he thrives: in the middle of the action, working hands-on with suppliers and customers to tackle technical challenges, refine designs, and ensure product integrity. «I enjoy working directly with customers and suppliers to resolve issues,» he says. «There’s no substitute for being close to the people who use and support our equipment.»

A Mind for Engineering, A Heart for Service

Beyond the engineering floor, Marty’s passion for service continues in remarkable ways. In his spare time, he trains dogs for search and rescue and cadaver recovery missions — leading a team of 38 certified dogs that work with first responders at no charge. «It’s all about using your skills to help others,» he says. It’s a philosophy that shines through in everything he does.

A Legacy That Strengthens Meyer

From accelerating product development to improving technical responsiveness, Marty Warchola’s return has made a lasting impact on Meyer. His leadership in product design and innovation continues to enhance the reliability and performance our customers count on — season after season, storm after storm.
