Construction

Blaster tailgate spreaders are constructed with rugged, rust-proof, high-density polyurethane that can withstand the harshest winter conditions. They feature heavy-duty locking straps to keep the lid on and the moisture out, as well as powder-coated frames for corrosion resistance.

The Quick-Hitch attachment system allows for fast, easy installation and removal, making loading and unloading a simple one-person operation. Blaster spreaders fit ½-ton and larger trucks with a 2-inch hitch, or tractors with a 3-point hitch, along with a variety of other vehicle applications.

Distribution System

All Blaster series spreaders feature a direct-drive system that connects the motor directly to the auger. The powerful ½-HP direct-drive motor is capable of grinding the largest of material chunks (even frozen and compacted material), offering up to 75% more power than competing models.

The Blaster 350 and 750 models feature a patented brush auger to prevent waste, with optional auger extensions available for customized application needs. Meyer's "S" Series Blasters (available on select models) incorporate an on-demand vibrator, load-bearing baffle plate, and multi-spiked auger.

Controller

The user-friendly in-cab controller features an illuminated interface for fingertip control over spreader functions. This system includes an on/off switch, a blast mode for on-demand power surges, and a vibrate mode to manage material flow in select models.  The variable speed control allows for precise adjustment of the spinner speed, while the automatic shut-off feature eliminates material waste while stopped.
