The Thermoplastic Pavement Marking System ensures durable, long-lasting markings by melting granulated material in a precisely temperature-controlled kettle. Material is delivered to the application guns or dies by gravity, pump, or pressure pot, with oil-jacketed lines maintaining temperature for smooth, consistent application. Available in spray, ribbon, screed or extrude systems, the Thermoplastic offers versatile application options and reliable performance for a wide range of marking projects.

Chassis

Choose from Peterbilt, Isuzu, Mack, Autocar, Battle Motors, Freightliner, or International chassis, available in single axle, single axle with lift axle, tandem axle, or tandem axle with lift axle configurations. Chassis are available with gas, diesel, or CNG fuel options to match your operational and environmental requirements. Each chassis is engineered to meet the specific needs of the striping machine, and dual steer options are available for enhanced maneuverability.
MB chassis solutions are highly customizable, allowing each unit to be configured based on your operational needs, local regulations, and preferred platform layout.

Striping Platform

Designed with operator safety and convenience in mind – The truck features multiple forms of egress, including rear steps with anti-skid material for safe access to the rear operator area. A 12-inch-wide rear bumper provides space for mounting optional equipment such as toolboxes, hose reels, and paint manifolds. Multiple access ladders and bolt-down railings provide safe and convenient access while allowing easy removal and replacement of components for servicing. Integrated loading platforms allow operators to safely load thermoplastic material into the kettles directly from the on-deck storage area. The striping platform itself is available with diamond tread plate or a smooth surface with tread tape and can be configured in steel or aluminum to meet specific requirements.

Striping Equipment

The Thermoplastic system is equipped with a heavy-duty rear-mounted carriage designed for long-lasting performance. Gun mounts accommodate air jets, thermoplastic applicators in spray, ribbon, or screed configurations, as well as glass bead guns, providing flexibility for a wide range of marking applications.

Paint and Pump System

The Thermoplastic system offers multiple delivery options to match different operational needs. Choose between a progressive cavity pump in pumper style, a pressure pot system, or gravity feed. Each setup ensures reliable thermoplastic flow to the applicators, providing consistent performance across spray, ribbon, and screed applications.

Air Compressor

The Thermoplastic system is equipped with a 125 CFM compressor to provide reliable air supply for applicators, bead guns, and cleaning systems.

Operator Controls & Safety Systems

Operator safety and comfort are built into every detail of the system. Secure seatbelt restraints and ergonomic seating support long shifts, while optional ROPs (Roll Over Protection Systems) and available crash attenuators offer added protection in high-risk environments. A range of operator stations—including open canopy or fully enclosed climate-controlled cabs in various configurations—can be equipped with bubble windows, sliding or swinging doors. Communication is clear and reliable with your choice of wireless or hardwired headsets.

Line application guidance/carriage steering options include hydraulic or steer-by-wire steering wheels, or joysticks. Additional guidance support includes rear-view camera systems (with optional DVR for traffic recording), guidance cameras, hydraulic pointers, driver and operator lasers, and optical sights.
Control and data logging options range from automated skip controllers and handheld remotes to full material management and reporting systems. Lighting safety features such as night lighting, strobes, and message or arrow boards ensure maximum visibility and operational safety in all conditions.
For added security and ease of use, available crash attenuator systems can be integrated, and a safety chute is provided for adding material to kettles.
