Trial run convinces – H. Fjeldstad AS chooses the Cleango 550

What happens when a customer falls in love during a product demonstration? For H. Fjeldstad AS, it was the beginning of a very special success story. When a sweeper impresses from the very first moment – and continues to deliver in everyday operation – it’s a perfect match.

H. Fjeldstad AS provides maintenance services for private clients, companies, residential cooperative, and building associations – mainly in the Follo district of Norway.

How it all began…

As a satisfied Schmidt sweeper customer, employees from the company traveled with Arne Cato Snarvold, Manager Sales at Aebi Schmidt Norge, to the Demo Days 2022 in Lahr, where the latest product innovation – the Schmidt Cleango 550 – was presented. It was love at first sight. But some patience was required: more than two and a half years passed before the machine was fully developed, produced, and ready for use.

Schmidt Cleango 550 – a clean solution

This year, just in time for the spring maintenance season, excitement was high. The Cleango 550 entered its test phase at H. Fjeldstad AS. And it quickly became clear: the machine delivers what it promises. A powerful sweeper with smart design and strong practicality – the satisfaction at H. Fjeldstad AS is high.

Development meets real-world practice

At Aebi Schmidt, we know that listening pays off – especially on-site with the customer. During the ongoing test phase, Arne Cato Snarvold and Philipp Johnston, Manager Product Management Sweepers from the St. Blasien plant, took the opportunity to visit the site in person.

Direct exchange with the user, personal conversations, and honest interest in the local requirements are of immense value – for both us and our customers. “Getting direct insights into the real operating conditions provides us with important impulses for further development,” explains Philipp Johnston. “Feedback from practice helps us to identify optimization potential and tailor future solutions even more closely to customer needs.”

A happy ending

The first Schmidt Cleango 550 in Norway successfully passed its spring maintenance field test – thanks to strong cleaning performance, easy and ergonomic operation, and low operating costs. Since the end of April, it has officially become part of the H. Fjeldstad AS fleet.
