Handling characteristics
Drive system
The newly-developed, electronically-controlled hydrostatic drive system ensures significantly smoother, more efficient and more comfortable driving performance. There is no need for conventional gear changes – driving is carried out continuously via the electronic hydrostatic system.
A large hydraulic motor delivers optimum torque across the entire speed range. This ensures that the tractive force remains consistently high – even under varying load conditions and on the most challenging of terrains.
Integrated wheel-hub final drives ensure direct power transmission and greater ground clearance. During transport journeys, a reduction in engine speed significantly lowers fuel consumption and noise levels. The result is a smooth ride, high tractive effort and greater efficiency – even at 40 km/h with just 1,800 min⁻¹.
Steering
During operation, you can switch flexibly between (a) front-wheel, (b) rear-wheel, (c) all-wheel and (d) crab steering. This allows the tractor to be optimally adapted to the working conditions at any time. From 25 km/h upwards, the system automatically switches to front-wheel steering, ensuring stable handling on the road.

Terrain Adaptation & Stability
The front axle can twist by 15° relative to the rear axle, thereby adapting perfectly to the most uneven of terrain. This ensures constant ground contact and allows attachments to be guided smoothly and precisely.
A balanced weight distribution across all four wheels also ensures high traction and stable handling.
Braking system
The new braking system, featuring internal wet multi-disc brakes, ensures consistent braking performance with minimal wear. The enclosed design provides reliable protection against dirt and significantly extends the service life. Automatic activation of the parking brake when the vehicle is stationary further enhances operational safety in day-to-day use.
Differential locks
Front and rear differential locks plus four-wheel drive are fitted as standard and can be engaged individually as required. This ensures maximum traction in the most difficult conditions on slopes and on loose ground.
PTO gearbox
The newly developed PTO (Power Take Off) gearbox offers a wide range of speeds and ensures maximum flexibility when using a wide variety of attachments.
- Front PTO: 540 rpm (standard) and 1,000 rpm (optional)
- Rear PTO: 540 / 750 rpm
The wet, maintenance-free multi-disc clutch is designed for high load capacity, smooth running and a long service life. The electro-hydraulic engagement is conveniently operated via the control panel and enables precise control during day-to-day work. An auxiliary hydraulic pump (45 l/min) can be optionally driven via the PTO.
Hydraulics
Front and rear hydraulics
The hydraulic system is designed for maximum flexibility. The main control block supplies up to three hydraulic connections at the front and rear. All double-acting connections can be controlled independently and feature a float position.
A motor-valve hydraulic system with a separate gear pump and a flow rate of 45 l/min at 2,700 l/min is available as an option.
Front and rear lift systems
The new front lift offers significantly greater performance and appreciably expands the range of applications. With up to 30% more lifting capacity and a lifting force of 1,700 kg, even the largest implements can be operated safely and efficiently. A parallel-guided side shift of up to 250mm on each side ensures maximum flexibility on slopes and on peripheral slope edges.
The rear lift is designed for heavy-duty applications and offers a lifting capacity of 1,700 kg (+40%). The robust design is supported by two hydraulic cylinders, ensuring optimum control and stability. The height-adjustable hitch allows for versatile applications with minimal set-up effort in every-day use.
Hydraulic load relief
The integrated relief function allows the ground pressure to be individually adjusted, ensuring that implements are guided smoothly over the ground. In combination with the dampened implement suspension, shocks are significantly reduced and ride comfort is noticeably improved. The result is smoother operation, less strain on both the driver and the machine, and consistently high-quality results.
Vibration damping
The vibration damping system for the front hydraulics – and, optionally, the rear hydraulics – reduces vibrations and shocks transmitted to the machine by attachments. This ensures smooth, controlled handling under the heaviest loads, improves safety during every-day use and protects the machine.

Automated workflows
Automated workflows combine recurring functions into intelligent processes and are particuarly useful for applications such as headland management. Typical work steps can be linked together and carried out partially automatically thus making tricky tasks considerably easier.
For example, when mowing, after the front lift has been raised (a), the machine can automatically activate four-wheel steering for the headland manoeuvre and simultaneously raise the rear conditioner (b). When the front linkage is lowered again (c), the front steering is automatically disengaged and the rear implement is lowered once more (d).
These linkages can be freely programmed to occur simultaneously or with a time delay. This form of headland management system reduces the need for manual intervention, making turning manoeuvres easier and ensuring a smooth, efficient workflow in day-to-day use.

Workplace
The driver’s cab in the Aebi TT 212 has been completely redesigned and optimised for ergonomics, visibility and intuitive operation. The design is tailored to the new generation of Aebi vehicles and follows the concept of the Aebi TP 470 Vario and the Aebi TT 242 and TT 282.
Cockpit
The cockpit features a refined and sophisticated cab layout with generous glazed areas and minimal obstructions to the view. This provides the operator with an excellent all-round view of the working area and front and rear attachments. The newly-developed climate control system with optimised air distribution, ensures additional comfort. The air is directed precisely, ensuring a consistent and comfortable cabin climate in both summer and winter.
Decoupled cab structure
The cab and radiator structure are decoupled from one another, which significantly reduces vibrations and noise. Ride comfort is noticeably improved and driver fatigue is reduced during long shifts.
Control concept
The new operating concept is based on a 12-inch touchscreen display as the central control unit. It is complemented by two ergonomically positioned control keypads and the Aebi drive lever integrated into the armrest. The system logic is identical to that of the new Aebi platform, which ensures a quick learning curve and intuitive operation across different vehicle classes.
Comfort seat & swivel mechanism
The comfort seat is designed for long working days and offers a wide range of adjustment options for an ergonomic sitting position. This, in combination with the swivel mechanism, means the workstation can be optimally aligned to the direction of work.
Cooling system & reversible fan
The new cooling system with hydraulic fan drive keeps temperatures stable even under sustained heavy loads. As an option, an automatic reversing fan cleans the cooling system at regular intervals, reducing maintenance requirements and increasing operational reliability.

Lighting
The latest generation lighting system illuminates the entire working area so that the slope tractor can still be used safely and efficiently even in the dark. The clear illumination aids precise working and enhances safety during every-day use.
Tyres
Various tyre options are available for the Aebi TT 207 and TT 212 to suit different operating conditions. The compact tyres ensure excellent manoeuvrability and a small turning circle of just 3.225m.
The optional large tyres improve traction, driving safety and ground protection on slopes. Twin tyres can also be fitted for additional traction while quick-release fasteners make fitting easier.
The following tyre options are available:
- 31x15.50-15 Terra
- 31x15.50 R15 AS
- 33x15.50-15 Terra
- 33x15.50 R15 AS
- 400/50 R15 Lawn

Soil protection
The wide, low-pressure tyres, with the option of fitting twin tyres front and rear, provide a large contact area. Combined with the low kerb weight, this results in very low ground pressure, protecting the turf and minimising soil compaction.
Agricultural machinery
The TT 212 is designed for a wide range of agricultural applications. The compact design, high efficiency and low centre of gravity ensure safe and productive operation with a wide variety of attachments suitable for:
- Forage harvesting and grassland management
