Technology and structure
The sweeping unit consists of a sweeping roller with polypropylene trim. The floor is guided by two pneumatic tyres, which can be rotated by 150° while the height can be manually adjusted by a spindle.
The sweeper roller is raised and lowered hydraulically via a link lifting device. Operation can be controlled from a separate control panel in the driver's cab and, as an option, can be synchronous control with a snow plough. The ZAK has a mechanical swivelling system.
The ZAK is mounted and dismounted using a quick-mounting device with a central mounting bolt. The central support frame is made of torsion-resistant square tube. A broom support frame is available for either disc or whisk brushes.
The ZAK is driven by two hydraulic motors which are supplied by a hydraulic pump installed on the vehicle. The working speed is up to a maximum of 40 km/h (25mph) and the transport speed up to 90 km/h (56mph).
Options and device combinations
The ZAK can be combined with a Schmidt snow plough, a spreader or a truck-mounted sweeper to great effect. A snow guard plate, snow guard aprons and marker and positional lights are all available as options.
