The ZAK is an intermediate axle sweeper primarily used in winter road maintenance. In combination with a multi-blade snow plough, it enables intensive snow removal and keeps the use of de-icing agents to a minimum. The ZAK is suitable for use both on municipal roads and on airfields, and can also be used as a sweeper in summer operation.

Dine fordeler

  • High performance: Thorough work thanks to intensive, mechanical cleaning of the entire sweeping width.
  • Simple installation: Quick mounting and dismounting thanks to central fastening bolt.
  • Stability: The ZAK is characterised by high stability and long service life.

Technology and structure

The sweeping unit consists of a sweeping roller with polypropylene trim. The floor is guided by two pneumatic tyres, which can be rotated by 150° while the height can be manually adjusted by a spindle.

The sweeper roller is raised and lowered hydraulically via a link lifting device. Operation can be controlled from a separate control panel in the driver's cab and, as an option, can be synchronous control with a snow plough. The ZAK has a mechanical swivelling system.

The ZAK is mounted and dismounted using a quick-mounting device with a central mounting bolt. The central support frame is made of torsion-resistant square tube. A broom support frame is available for either disc or whisk brushes.

Drive

The ZAK is driven by two hydraulic motors which are supplied by a hydraulic pump installed on the vehicle. The working speed is up to a maximum of 40 km/h (25mph) and the transport speed up to 90 km/h (56mph).

Options and device combinations

The ZAK can be combined with a Schmidt snow plough, a spreader or a truck-mounted sweeper to great effect. A snow guard plate, snow guard aprons and marker and positional lights are all available as options.
