Schmidt Mountable Sweeper

The SK 700 mountable sweeper is especially designed for cleaning main and country roads. The hopper has a volume of 7.0 m3.

Capacity and Technology

The Schmidt SK 700 has a clearing width of 2 300 mm that is entirely mechanically swept. The disc brushes, feeder roller brush and the suction shaft with a brush located directly behind it are all put into action. The suction shaft is 550 mm wide. While transporting the debris in the hopper, the SK 700 employs the Venturi effect. The robust suction hose is shaped in such a way that large amounts of dirt can be sucked up with an optimum degree of dust separation (PM 10).

Versatile and Long-Lasting

The SK 700 mountable sweeper from Schmidt is suitable for use on truck chassis with a permissible total weight of from 18 tons. The 7.0 m3 hopper has a stainless steel base pan. The 1 500 l water tank is made of glassfibre-reinforced plastic and is non- corrosive. The SK 700 can be used at night thanks to its noise suppression package and is suitable for cleaning on both sides as well as, dual collection.

Flexible Drive

The Schmidt SK 700 has three options for powering the fan and static hydraulics. A diesel powered auxiliary engine, the vehicle’s auxiliary drive system (PTO) and a hydrostatic drive can be used for operating the sweeper up to a travelling speed of 40 km/h. The sweeping speed is infinitely variable up to 20 km/h.

Multiple Uses

Apart from sweeping, the Schmidt SK 700 has a variety of additional functions. It is equipped with an additional font brush which can be widely extended to reach a higher level enabling it to sweep a kerb or remove weeds. A spray bar can also be utilised to suppress dust during sweeping in the same way a spray bar is used for washing dirty surfaces. The vacuum unit at the back has a cleaning width of 2 500 mm, four water jets and two large suction hoses which can be used to suck up liquid substances such as oil or glycol.
