Marco Studer will take over the operative management of the Aebi & Co. AG Maschinenfabrik as Chief Operating Officer from 1 January 2010 on. Since 1 February 2009, Walter T. Vogel has managed this division of the Aebi Schmidt Group on a temporary basis. Already from that date, Marco Studer held the position of deputy Head of Division.
In the sense of a seamless transfer of the responsibilities, from the beginning of the New Year Mr Marco Studer will now take over the responsibility for the day-to-day business. As CEO, Mr Walter T. Vogel will continue to carry the responsibility for strategic matters. During the coming weeks suitable candidates will be evaluated as a successor to Mr Studer in his current position as Head of Assembly.
Marco Studer, who holds a degree in automobile engineering from the University of Applied Science and an MBA from the University of St. Gallen, joined the Aebi Schmidt Group in August 2008 as Head of Assembly in the Aebi Division. During the previous eight years, Mr Studer held various management positions in the commercial vehicles division of Mercedes Benz.
